Mrs. Georgena Johannes, 94, of Rocky Ford died Monday, December 22nd, 2008 peacefully at Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford. Georgena was born in Rocky Ford, CO on September 18, 1914, the daughter of the late George and Katherine Elizabeth (Karst) Wittman. She was the widow of Sam Johannes. They were married on March 8, 1936 in Rocky Ford. She was a Homemaker She is survived by: Daughter Kay wife of Leland Schulenburg of Paauilo, HI; Granddaughter Charlene Schulenburg of Encino, Ca.; Grandson Nielson Schulenburg of Henderson, VA.; Sister-in-law Betty Johannes of Rocky Ford, Co; Niece Shirley Termer of Rocky Ford, Co. Graveside Services will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 2nd, with Pastor Frank Turja officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
