Geraldine Norma (Geri) Fellhauer, 73, of Manzanola, CO, passed away Friday, February 15th, at UCHealth, Colorado Springs, CO.

Geraldine was born in Las Animas, CO on June 8, 1945, a daughter of the late Norma Rachel (Karr) and Wayne Loyd Smart. She attended schools in the Kim area.

She was the wife of Harvey Dean Fellhauer. they were married February 28, 1964 in La Junta.

Geri worked for Fowler Healthcare and for JC Penney's for 20 years, while building D&D TRUCKING with her husband Dean. After leaving JC Penney's she found her true passion as a Substitute teacher and Grandma extraordinaire.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors in the early years. When her kids were ready to join 4-H she became a leader for many years.

Geri enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling with her husband, watching the PBR and attending PBR events. She also enjoyed dancing, flower arranging and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband, Dean of the home; Son Dale (Jammie) Fellhauer, of Manzanola, CO; Daughter Wendy Karr, of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was also very close to a sister and brother - in - law and a cousin.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Loyd Smart; mother and father - in - law: Harvey & Edith Fellhauer and a sister - in - law: Melverta Bauer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 22nd at First Christian Church of Manzanola in Manzanola, CO with Pastor John Dell officiating. Inurnment will be private at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation c/o www.myasdf.org 228 W. Lincoln Hwy. 301 Schereville, IN 46375. The family requests those attending dress casual.
