Gregory Lynn Chambers

Gregory “Greco” Lynn Chambers of Rocky Ford passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 in Colorado Springs at the age of 73. Greg was born in La Junta to Robert and Helen Chambers. He grew up in Rocky Ford, where he graduated from High School class of 1971, the largest class to graduate from the school. Growing up Grag had many adventures with his 2 brothers and 4 cousins, who lived next door. Greg drove truck with his dad, Bob. One of their trips ended in Gulfport, MS where he worked on shrimp boats, he eventually owned one of his own. He lived in Gulfport for many years. After that he moved on to working in refractory welding and bricklaying. He worked for the Bobby Lashley Corp. out of Georgia. While working for them he traveled the world, going to Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Malaysia and many other places. He enjoyed his work and made many friends along the way. He rode his Harley with 2 different motorcycle clubs and went on many runs. In 2019 he retired and moved back to Rocky Ford. He was working on his grandparents house, Clarence and Phyllis Hamm. He helped many people with construction, bricklaying, fixing fence, branding, working on motors and always keeping his parent’s and grandparent’s yard looking beautiful, especially his mother’s prided Kentucky bluegrass.

Greg is survived by his 2 brothers John Chambers of Kyle, TX, Tom Chambers of Palm Coast, FL, he was proud to be called “Poppa” by Randi Martz since she was 5 years old. He was also “Dad” to a large Rottweiler lap dog named Solomon. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
