Obituary

Harold Wayne Mangus, Jr., 71, of Olney Springs, CO, passed away Friday, May 8th, at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo.

Harold was born in Wichita, KS on November 28, 1948, a son of the late Wilma Irene (Tucker) Price and Harold Wayne Mangus, Sr.

He graduated from Neodesha High School and attended CSU - Pueblo.

Harold was the husband of Deborah Jean (Srader) Mangus, they were married on February 18, 1982 in Pueblo, CO.

He attended the Fowler Christian Church in Fowler, CO.

Harold was an avid outdoors man that loved teaching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren about fishing, camping and hiking along with all aspects of life. He loved music and was known for being the "rocking chef" as he would turn on the music and dance around the kitchen as he was preparing one of his awesome dishes!

Family and education was very important to Harold. He could talk for hours about the outdoors, history and his family. With his kind heart he would have a kind word and encouragement during in the hardest of times and he could even crack a smile. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and those that knew him.

He is survived by:

Wife Deborah of the home; Daughter Kimberly Elliott, of New Mexico; Son Tad Mangus, of Pueblo, CO; Son Jon Paul Mangus, of Pueblo, CO; Son Michael (Cristina D'andrea) Mangus, of Olney Springs, CO; Son Cody (Rebecca) Mangus, of Olney Springs, CO; Sister Carol (Buford) Rutherford, of Cape Girardeau, MO; Sister Mary Price, of San Antonio, TX; Granddaughter Amanda Lopez, of Las Animas, CO; Grandson Justin Brower, of Las Animas, CO.

He is also survived by 5 Great - Grandchildren: Monica Salais, Mary Lou Salais, Myka Linton, Kyra Lopez & Hunter Brower

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Gary Mangus and a sister Carrie Smith.

Services will be announced at a later time.
