Mrs. Helen Mary (Lena) Encinias, 80, of Rocky Ford passed away Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012 suddenly at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Helen was born in Yesa, NM on May 2, 1932, the daughter of the late John and Cleo (Baca) Marquez. She was the widow of Fred Joe Encinias. They were married August 15, 1942 in Rocky Ford, CO. He preceded her in death March 4, 2008. She retired as a Seed Packer Helen was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by: Son Jimmy husband of Virginia Encinias of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Lynda wife of Eddie Vigil of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Ted husband of Vivian Encinias of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Eva wife of Charles Trujillo of Lakewood, CO; Daughter Grace wife of Jerry Natividad of Lakewood, CO; Daughter Jennie wife of Rick Gomez of Lakewood, CO; Son Rick Encinias of Lakewood, CO; Brother Luis husband of Angie Marquez of Rocky Ford, CO. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband: Fred; 2 sisters: Molly Montez & Agnes Lopez; great-granddaughter: Mariah Vigil. Funeral Services will be at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 25th, with Pastor Frank Turja officiating. Visitation will be Friday 8 AM until service time at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
