There will only be 10 people allowed in the funeral home at any given time for the visitation on Sunday. Friends will be allowed to attend the graveside service but those attending may not exit your vehicle. The family and the funeral home thank you for your understanding in this difficult time.

Helen B. (Hannah) Mendoza, 72, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Tuesday, March 31st, at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo, CO.

Helen was born in Fowler, CO on August 31, 1947, a daughter of the late Annie (Romero) and Manuel Berumen.

She attended the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO.

Anyone who knew Helen knew how much her family meant to her. Her pride and joy were her grandkids. She had the biggest heart and would always help anyone who needed it and she made friends everywhere she went. Helen loved listening to music and could dance to Spanish music for hours. She was always smiling and laughing and loved family get togethers. She had a special bond with so many of her family and friends and will be missed by everyone one who knew her.

She is survived by: Husband Rigo Mendoza; Daughter Angela, (Rey) Maldonado, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Lazaro, (Stephanie) Mendoza, of Swink, CO; Son Nelo, (Ronette Encinias) Mendoza, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Linda, (Leonard) Venegas, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Roseanne Madrid, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Alice, (Benji) Lucero, of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Hank Aragon, of Colorado Springs, CO; Brother Cardie Aragon, of Westminster, CO; Brother Lalo Berumen, of Pueblo, CO. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Erica (Sunee Martinez) Maldonado, Michael Maldonado, RJ Maldonado, Jadon (Elizabeth) Barela, Matthew Mendoza, Mia Mendoza, Santino Mendoza, Qiana Torrez, Marcus Torrez; Great - Grandsons: Asa Barela, MJ Torrez, Maceo Maldonado; many cousins, nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Manuel & Jerry Berumen.

A Visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 5th at Ford - Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 6th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO.
