Henrietta Records

January 23, 1919 - April 24, 2014

Henriettta Florence Records, 95, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Thursday, April 24th, peacefully, at Pioneer Health Care Center.

Henriettta was born in Silverton, CO on January 23, 1919, a daughter of the late Hazel Henrietta (Fletcher) and William Alvis Way.

She grew up in Silverton and graduated from Silverton High School and Ft. Lewis and Gunnison State Colleges with her Master's in Education.

She was the widow of Ernest Keith Records. On June 30, 1948, they were married at Silverton, CO. She met Keith while teaching while teaching his niece Sandra in Rocky Ford. Â

She worked as a School Teacher at Rocky Ford School District Rocky Ford, CO., for 30 years retiring in 1976. She also taught in Silverton, CO.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rocky Ford, CO.

Henrietta was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority,  VFW Women's Auxiliary and many other clubs over her life time. She and Keith had many adventures traveling the world seeing 6 continents and many countries. She always had a story to tell tell either about her travels or years teaching. She was always ready to volunteer and help others. She loved teaching and was a well loved teacher.

She is survived by; Son William "Bill", husband of  Donna Records, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Sheryl Record, of Bisbee, AZ; Niece Sandra, wife of  Clyde Young, of Pueblo; Great - Niece Teri, wife of  Eric Browdy, of Las Vegas, NV; Great - Nephew Kenneth Young, of Pueblo, CO; Great-Great-Nephew Carson Browdy, of Las Vegas, NV; Grandson Tim Schultz, of Rocky Ford, CO; Granddaughter Victoria, wife of  Noble McFann, of Wichita, KS; Great-Granddaughter Emily Shultz, of Rocky Ford, CO.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2012; parents-in-laws, Ernest & Audryn Records; Nephew, Clyde Young; sister-in-law; Mary Lee Records Warhurst; infant daughters; Loretta & Margaret Ritterbush.

Graveside Services will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30th, with Pastor John Dell officiating. Per Henrietta's request there will be no public viewing. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Family request donations to First Baptist Church 10th & Maple Rocky Ford, CO 81067 or Arkansas Valley Hospice 531 Lewis La Junta, CO 81050.
