Henry Becker

Henry C. Becker, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away August 13, 2017 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was born December 15, 1933 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Elizabeth and Herman Becker. Henry attended school at Vroman and Manzanola, Colorado. At the age of 16, He joined the U.S. Army. On April 18, 1959 he married, Mary Harriett (Punky) McCanless. She preceded him in death in June 2001. He drove a truck his entire working career, retiring from Wal-Mart in 1999. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary; son, Joe; grandson, Christopher and 4 siblings. Survivors include his sons, Eddie (Cindy), Butch (Apple), Pat (Glonda), and Mike Becker; daughter, Shelly (Kevin) Wolfe; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Mariam Turner; sister-in-law, Connie Becker; brother-in-law, Bill (Wanda) McCanless; his companion, Diane O'Connell and several nieces, nephews. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 Thursday, at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, Colorado with Interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, Colorado.
