Mrs. Hilaria (Dona Lala) Martinez, 75, of Rocky Ford died Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Hilaria was born in Panaco, Vera Cruz, Mexico on January 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Jorge and Urbana (Perez) Hernandez. She was the widow of Alejandro Martinez. He preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1995. She was previously married to Luis Campos and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2001. She worked as a Farm Laborer and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO and enjoyed giving to the ASPCA, the Mary Knoll Brothers and Salvation Army. She is survived by: Daughter Maida Rocha Daughter Margarita (Pablo) Estrada Daughter Lupe Martinez Son Jorge Hernandez Son Antonio (Andrea) Campos Son Alexander Martinez Son Matthew Martinez Son Andy Martinez Son Arnold (Melissa) Martinez Sister Rosa Maria Hernandez Sister Maria Perez Sister Celina (Simon) Ruiz Brother Abad (Consuelo) Perez She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Adelita Hernandez; a son: Louie Martinez; a granddaughter: Mariah M. Martinez; a grandson: JoAngel Martinez; 2 brothers: Jesus & Andres Perez; and a special friend: Miguel Delgado A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 27th, with Fr. Don Malin officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 PM until 5:30 PM. at the St. Peters Catholic Church. A Rosary Service will be recited at 5:30 PM on Friday at St. Peters Catholic Church.
