Hope Natividad was born in Las Cruces NM. Her family eventually moved to Vroman CO. She attended school there. As she grew up, she left school to help earn money for the family. She married Salvador Natividad in 1942. They chose to raise their family in Manzanola until 1962 when they built a house and moved to Rocky Ford, so Hope could be closer to her job. Hope worked at Frozen Foods for 15 years before retiring in 1982. After her husband Salvador passed away in 1980, Hope continued to live in the house alone until she met Fidencio Carlin, her second husband. Fidencio passed away in 2012. Hope then lived in her home with the help of her daughter Nancy Natividad, who became her care taker. The final move of Hope's life was to Denver to be closer to her children. She passed away on 8/9/2015 at Suburban Hospital surrounded by her children who were with her during her last days. She is survived by her children: Gloria Trujillo, Jerry(Grace) Natividad, Nancy Natividad, James(Gwen) Natividad Her grandchildren: Tammi(Pat) Martinez, Steven(Tawney)Trujillo, Nathan Trujillo, Terri(Asim)Trujillo-Asim. Nicole Natividad, Jimmy Natividad; Great-Grandchildren: Michael, Joseph and Christen Martinez, Jasmine & Melana Natividad, Sara, Abdullah and Aayaan Asim. And her great - great grandkids: Sierra Whatley, Joseph Martinez Jr., Jaslene Martinez, Arianna Hotchkiss, Matthew Hotchkiss, Ezane Lewis and Patrick John Lewis She was preceded In death by her mother and father Michael and Cruz Rodriguez, Husband Salvador Natividad, Fidencio Carlin Perez, sister: Connie Bland, Sister Nellie Reyes, Brother in law Teddy Reyes, Brother Michael Rodriguez and sister in law Mary. Brother Pete, Brother Arthur, and Sister Kathleen A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
