Iona Erceline Schreckhise

Mrs. Iona Erceline Schreckhise, 87, of Rocky Ford died on Monday, April 4th, 2011 peacefully at her residence. Iona was born in Linn County, MO on October 31, 1923, the daughter of the late William Silver and Tressie Beatrice (Spencer) Woodside. She graduated from Shelby High School in Shelby, MO. She was the wife of Randall Lee Schreckhise. They were married on July 27, 1941 in Missouri. He survives. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in July. She was the Manager at the Rocky Ford Federal Credit Union for several years. She also taught the year after graduating from high school. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rocky Ford, DAR, Good Sam Club, and the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her husband, Randall of the home; Son Gene (Nancy) Schreckhise of Kennewick, WA; Granddaughter Susie (Rob) Oram of Richland, WA; Grandson Bill Schreckhise (Janine Parry) of Fayatteville, AR; Grandson Randy (Heidi) Schreckhise of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by Great-Grandchildren: Jake Oram, Megan Oram, Kate Schreckhise, Paul Schreckhise and a niece: Glenda Lambert of Bennett, CO. She was preceded in death by a son: Roger Schreckhise. Funeral Services will be at the First United Methodist Church, Rocky Ford, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 9th, with Rev. Olga Hard officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford.
