James "Jim" Franklin Klement

July 28, 1933 - August 1, 2011

Mr. James "Jim" Franklin Klement, 78, of Pueblo died Monday, August 1st, 2011 at Parkview Medical Center Jim was born in Portales, NM on July 28, 1933, the son of the late Rudolph Julius and Mary Clara (Essler) Klement. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1951. He was the husband of Julia Lee (McFadden) Klement. They were married Jan. 6, 1973 in Albuquerque, NM. She survives. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired as a Facility Manager at Mountain Bell Telephone Denver, CO retiring in 1983. After retirement he purchased the Westside Liquor Store in Rocky Ford and operated that for 12 years. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. He was a life member of Pioneers with the phone company and the VFW in Hugo, CO. He is survived by his wife; Julia of the home; Daughter Mary Klement of Pueblo West, CO; Sister Helen Fesnock of Peck, KS; Sister-in-law Alberta Klement of Northglen, CO. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Alvin, Edward, Felix, David & George; 2 sisters: Florence Williams & Katherine Donaghy A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 5th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
