James "Jim" McCleary

January 19, 1927 - June 28, 2013

Mr. James Wilbur (Jim) McCleary, 86, of Crowley passed away on Friday, June 28th, 2013 while in the company of family members at his residence. James was born in Raton, NM on January 19, 1927, the son of the late Martin Van Buren and Geita Wilma (Willmore) McCleary. He was the widower of Marjorie Ann (Bennett) McCleary. They were married on May 1, 1947. She preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 1998. They were married for 50 years and were best friends. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Fireman 1st Class in WW II. He was a self-employed Appliance Repairman There will be no local services or viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time.
