Joan Williams, 90, passed away February 5, 2024 at Fowler Healthcare. Joan was born August 29, 1933 at Yates Center, Kansas to Frank and Gladys Goodale. When she was a young child, her mother moved to Fowler and married Frank Denney.

She was married to Van Williams on December 18, 1950. They were married 70 years until Van's death in June 2022. They had 5 children: Nancy, Ronald, Jan, Jay and Sharol.

She is survived by children: Nancy Williams of Swink, Jay (Georgia) Williams of Swink, Jan (Stephen) Parrington of Parker, and Sharol Cassidy of Fowler, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Van, son Ronald, grandson Tim Williams, sisters: Marie Pearce, Jane Howell and Shirley Turner, brothers: Bill Goodale and Jack Denney.

At her request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Joan's memory to Arkansas Valley Hospice, 531 Lewis Ave., La Junta, CO 81050.
