John Edward LaBrec was born December 20, 1947. He went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 16, 2026. John was born in Birmingham, Washington to the Albert and Marguerite (Henehan) LaBrec. He grew up in and around Chicago, IL. John served in the army and went to Viet Nam from 2/67 to 10/69 leaving with an honorable discharge. In the early 80’s he moved to Penrose, became a chief and worked in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor and Antler hotel. In 1988 John went to work at the Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, moved to Sugar City and has resided there until now.
John is survived by his sister, Kathleen Evanch. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Albert, George, Rose Marie (Davis), and Richard. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
