John Vigil, 62, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Saturday, March 14th, at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo.

John was born in Rocky Ford, CO on September 26, 1957, a son of Stella (Montanez) Vigil and the late Frankie Vigil.

He attended Rocky Ford High School and was a proud member of the wrestling team. He enjoyed playing the drums and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He went fishing whenever possible. He loved spending time goofing off with his nephews and nieces. John served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford.

He is survived by his mother Stella Vigil of Winnetka, CA; Sister Barbara, wife of John Granillo, of Winnetka, CA; Nephew Robert husband of Denice Granillo; Niece Stephanie, wife of Alexander Agustin; Niece Melissa Granillo wife of Daniel Christie; Niece Orializ wife of Jesus Torres; Niece Maria Gorety Serrano Ortiz; Great Niece Annissa Granillo wife of Efrain Perez; Great Nephews Manny Granillo, Tristan Rice, Jesse Torres, Max Agustin, Leo Agustin, Robert Granillo, Jr., Matthew Perez, Giovanni Granillo, Mason Granillo & Teddy Agustin; Great Nieces Allyssa Torres, Johanna Granillo & Alanna Granillo; Great Great Nephew Vincent Perez; The many other dear Family from Colorado and California.

John was preceded in death by his father Frankie Vigil and Nephew Johnnie "Bebo" Granillo.

A Celebration of Life will be held in California at a later time.
