Jose "Andy" Andres Aragon

March 8, 1943 - August 25, 2016

Jose Andres (Andy) Aragon, 73, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away on Thursday, August 25th, peacefully, at the Crowley County Nursing Center in Ordway, CO. Jose was born on March 8, 1943, a son of the late Mary (Salazar) and Joe Aragon. He was the husband of Ida Aragon they were married on February 22, 1969 in Rocky Ford, CO. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. Andy enjoyed hunting with his dad, brothers & son and fishing with his son and grandchildren. He loved playing his guitar, taking long rides in the country, long walks, sitting outside and of course watching the Denver Broncos. Everyone knew Andy as always being comical, he wasn't happy unless he was making others laugh. He enjoyed reading especially the Louis L'Amore books. But more than anything, he loved his wife Ida, his honey and soul mate. He is survived by his wife, Ida of the home; Daughter Christine Aragon; Daughter Beverly (Gene) Gauna; Son Martin (Alicia) Aragon; Brother Benny Aragon; Brother Delphie (Socorro) Aragon; Sister Mary Aragon; Brother Billy (Frances) Aragon; Sister Virginia Rodriguez; Brother Joe (Pauline) Aragon; He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Crystal (Rocky) Archuletta, Angelo (Danielle) Gauna, Andrew Valdez, Lyric Aragon, Melea Labato, Dominic Gauna, Jonathan Aragon, Ayva Aragon; 5 great-grandchildren: Donovan Archuletta, Alyssa Archuletta, Khalia Gauna, Jayven Gauna, Milani Archuletta; many nieces, nephews & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Henry Aragon; sister-in-law: Olivia Aragon; great-granddaughter: Jayleigh Gauna-Valdez Friends are invited to call 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 28th at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO . A Rosary Service will be recited at 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 28th at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 29th at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating.
