Mr. Jose Roberto (Bob) Lucero, 64, of Rocky Ford died Friday, June 1st, 2012 while in the company of family members at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center, Pueblo, Pueblo County, CO. Jose was born in Rocky Ford, CO on March 23, 1948, the son of the late Antonio G. and Fedelia (Aguilar) Lucero. He attended schools in the Rocky Ford area before moving to Colorado Springs. Robert worked as a Head Chef at The Antlers in Colorado Springs, CO and had also worked at the Four Seasons. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. Robert enjoyed art and was very artistic. He is survived by: Daughter Cherrie Lucero of Las Vegas, NV; Daughter Tara wife of Benjamin McCann of Brossler City, LA; Brother Tony husband of Bessie Lucero of Minturn, CO; Brother Lee husband of Susan Lucero of Pueblo, CO; Brother Chris widow of Irene Lucero of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Nick husband of Betty Lucero of Moore, OK; Brother Charles husband of May Lucero of Colorado Springs, CO; Brother Larry husband of Mary Lou Lucero of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Clara wife of Tony Valencia of Atlanta, GA; Sister Agneda wife of Jose Aragon of Manzanola, CO; Sister Lorraine wife of Hank Bischoff of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Susie Lucero of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews Robert was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Alfonso Lucero & Phil Lucero; 1 sister: Mary Rodriguez A Rosary Service will be recited at 9:30 AM Saturday by Sandy Hereth with A Memorial Mass to follow at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 9th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
