Jose Garfield Madrid, Jr., 46, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Sunday, September 7th, suddenly, at his residence. Jose was born in Rocky Ford, CO on December 7, 1967, a son of Mary Antonia (Esquibel) Madrid and the late Jose Garfield Madrid, Sr. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1985 and attended Diesel Mechanic school in Denver. Jose was a Machine Operator at Cornmasters in Lakewood, CO and had previously worked at UPS, and was a card dealer. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He loved kids, bike riding, enjoyed gardening, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved taking care of his mom. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by his mother; Mary of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Delia, wife of Manuel Pantoya, of Broomfield, CO; Brother Richard, husband of Rose Mary Madrid, of Golden, CO; Sister Shirley, wife of Carlos Ortega, of Lakewood, CO; Brother Mario Madrid, of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Lydia, wife of Mark Stiles, of Lakewood, CO; Sister Patty, wife of Danny Cruz, of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Delphina Barber, of La Junta, CO; Brother Mark Madrid, companion Don Randall, of Ft. Collins, CO. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. A Rosary service will be recited at 10:30 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM both at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO on Tuesday, September 16th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation was chosen by the family. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
