Jose Lee Maes, 36, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Thursday, October 2nd, suddenly, at his residence. Jose was born in Rocky Ford, CO on July 19, 1978, a son of Judy Ann (Montoya) Maes and Luis Miguel Maes. He attended school in Rocky Ford, CO. Jose worked in the fields around the Rocky Ford area. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. Jose's pride and joy was his daughter and the time he spent with her. He enjoyed fishing, riding bikes, fixing vehicles, and spending time with his family and having quality father and son time. He is survived by; Father Luis and his wife Chong Cha of Garden City, KS; Mother Judy Maes of Rocky Ford, CO Brother Louis, husband of Chantele Madrid, Jr., of Pueblo, CO; Brother David Maes, of Denver, CO; Brother Ricky Maes, of La Junta, CO; Sister Lori Madrid, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Krista Maes, of Rocky Ford, CO; Good Friend Lisa Rodriquez, of Rocky Ford, CO. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 9:30 AM on Friday, October 10th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
