Joseph "Joe" H. DuBois

Joseph Harry (Joe) DuBois, 89, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away at 2:45 PM, Saturday, December 10th, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta. Joseph was born in Rocky Ford, CO on May 27, 1927, a son of the late Welcome L. and Harry H. DuBois. He was the widower of Georgia Maxine (Clark) DuBois. They were married on Oct. 20, 1950 in La Junta, CO. She preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2013. He attended school in Rocky Ford and Spartan School of Aeronautics as an aircraft mechanic. He retired as an Inspector from Santa Fe Railroad. He had also owned and operated a grocery store in Westport, CA He was a lifetime member of the NRA and he also enjoyed flying and working on airplanes. He is survived by; Son Steve, husband of Barbara DuBois, of Black Canyon City, AZ; Daughter Holly, wife of Dave Freeman, of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandson Marc, husband of Bethany DuBois, of Greeley, CO; Grandson Scott, husband of Stacy DuBois, of North Platte, NE; Granddaughter Rachael, wife of Jason Granado, of Owasso, OK; Grandson Joe, husband of Candy Durrett, of Sperry, OK; Sister Lucille Yergert, of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & cousins He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Georgia; 3 brothers: Eldon, Jack and Baby Vernon Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO with Pastor Sharon Langfeldt officiating. Friends are invited to call 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 13th at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
