Joyce Pool, 81, of Ordway, CO, passed away Tuesday, May 19th, while in the company of family members, at Fowler Health Care Center, Fowler. Joyce was born in Bryan, TX on June 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Effie (Thames) and Willard Winters. She was the wife of Fletcher Pool, they were married on April 11, 1953 at Bryan, TX. Joyce worked as a Secretary at Texas A & M College in College Station, TX and was a homemaker. She was a member of Little Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Ordway, CO where she served as church clerk for many years. She is survived by her husband Fletcher Pool of the home; Son Samuel, husband of Dorothy Pool, of Garland, TX; Daughter Dorene Pool, of Chandler, AZ; Son James Pool, of Lakewood, CO; Daughter Sylvia, wife of Edward Norton,IV of Bothell, WA; Grandson Edward Norton, V; Granddaughter Meredith Norton. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Gerald & Edwin Winters. Funeral Services will be at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 23rd, with Elder Charles Martin officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 AM until service time at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway, CO.
