Juan "John" M. Lopez Suave', 64, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away of COVID - 19, Tuesday, December 15th, at University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO.

John was born in La Junta, CO on December 22, 1955, a son of Frances Maes Lopez and the late Louis S. Lopez.

He married his middle school sweetheart Diane (Baca) Lopez on Dec. 22, 1978 in La Junta. They celebrated 42 years of marriage but were together for 50 years. They had 4 daughters and 11 grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO.

John worked at Nagelwire for 10 years until company shutdown. He then went to Lewis Bolt and Nut Company when they opened in 1992, he was the 9th employee. In 2001, he was moved to Lab Tech and was very dedicated to his job.

He was a devoted husband, a great dad, an amazing grandfather "Papo", son, brother, uncle, cousin and had many friends. He loved going on family trips and outings, one of his favorite things to do was take the family on annual camping trips. He loved riding his Harley and going on the bike events and poker runs. His most loved activity was just spending time with family and grand kids.

He is survived by: Wife Diane of the home; Mother Frances Lopez of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Michele (David) Marlow, of Aurora, CO; Daughter Tracy Lopez, of Pueblo, CO; Daughter Kristi (Anthony) Lopez - Anaya, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Ashley (Andres Mendoza) Lopez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Jose (Tammy Jackman - Lopez) Lopez, of Willard, OH; Sister Mary (Alfred) Martinez, of La Junta, CO; Brother Frank (Victoria Yara) Lopez, of Pueblo, CO; Sister Vickie (Ricardo) Moll, of Aurora, CO; Brother Gilbert Lopez, of Lakewood, CO; Sister Rosie (Steven) Sanchez, of Pueblo, CO.

He is also survived by 11: grandchildren: Davin & Deziray Marlow; Alicyn & Madyx Leyba; Trinity, Michael & Javen Lopez; Atreyous & Jazzlyn Ramirez; Carlos & Marissa Mendoza; many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins

John was preceded in death by his father and a brother: Michael Lopez

There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30th at Ford - Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. A Vigil Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 31st at Ford - Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO. The family does ask that you wear a mask at both events.
