Obituary

Kathleen Sinding

October 11, 1923 - April 18, 2011

Kathleen Ellen Sinding was born in Syracuse Kansas in 1923. David and Kathleen met and married in 1947, making Rocky Ford there home town. They owned and operated the Rocky Ford Creamery. Kathleen was an integral part of developing special flavored ice cream. Her generous spirit was well-known throughout the community, for her special delivery of ice cream to the homes of those suffering hardship. David and Kathleen treasured their three daughters. Diane preceded them in death at the tender age of seven. David, her beloved husband, for 52 years passed away in 1999. Thereafter Kathleen made her home in New Mexico near her daughter. Kathleen is survived by daughters, Shelley, Marsha, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Our mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, will be missed, much because of how God filled her heart with love for us. There can be nothing as sweet as a mother's love, and we are so grateful she taught us the importance of loving one-another. A grave-side service will be held on Monday, April 25th at 11:00am in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
