Mrs. Glenda Kay Mahoney, 51, of La Junta passed away on Thursday, April 4th, 2013 while in the company of family members and friends at her residence. Glenda was born in Rocky Ford, CO on November 25, 1961, the daughter of Albert Leslie and Grace Edith (Sample) Muth-Johnson. She graduated from Rocky Ford High School and received her Bachelor's and her Master's in Nursing from South University in Georgia. She worked as a Nursing Instructor at Otero Junior College La Junta, CO. She was also working at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. She is survived by Her mother; Grace Muth-Johnson; Daughter T'Neil wife of Larry Aragon of La Junta, CO; Daughter Rebecca wife of Nathan Chacon of Grand Junction, CO; Sister Laura Freidenberger of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Donna Muth of Rocky Ford, CO; Granddaughter Addison Aragon of La Junta, CO; Granddaughter McKenna Aragon of La Junta, CO; Grandson Deacon Aragon of La Junta, CO; Granddaughter Peyton Aragon of La Junta, CO; Granddaughter Nevaeh Crockett of Grand Junction, CO; Granddaughter Cadence Crockett of Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by her father: Albert in 2011 A Memorial Service will be at the Valley Community Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 13th, with Pastor Ed Kite officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
