Mr. Keith Cameron Ornelas, 22, of Rocky Ford died on Saturday, December 18th, 2010 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Keith was born in La Junta, CO on April 29, 1988, the son of Florence Evelyn Ornelas. He attended East High School in Pueblo and attended Otero Junior College. He worked as a DJ and helped his uncles do construction jobs. Keith loved to DJ and dance especially with his grandma, Dora, he liked to work on cars and was an avid Raider fan. He was very much loved, he will be missed dearly. His favorite colors were red and black. He is survived by his mother Florence and her husband Ed Blea of Pueblo, CO; Brother Kurtis Ornelas of Pueblo, CO; Brother RJ Maldonado of Denver, CO; Step Brother Austin Blea of Great Bend, KS; Grandparents Sefe & Vita Ornelas of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandfather Francisco Perez of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandmother Dora Luna of Rocky Ford, CO; Great-Grandmother Ida Medina and the late Alfonso Medina of Rocky Ford. He is also survived by 2 uncles; Floyd (Sandra) Ornelas of Rocky Ford and Cisco (Bernadine) Perez of La Junta; 4 aunts: Yolanda (Tom) Martinez of Rocky Ford, Lisa (Paul) Mondragon of La Junta, Frances (Jasper) Lorenzo of Rocky Ford and Tere Perez of Pueblo; God-parents: Rocky & Patsy Lucero of Rocky Ford and Carla and Israel Quezada of Rocky Ford; special God-son: Ashton Medina of Rocky Ford, special friend: Angelica Perez; special pet: Shifty; he is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and lots of friends. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents: Ruperto & Cora Ornelas, Tony & Reyna Cordova, Bartola Castaneda; cousin: Rosalie Maes-Ortiz; uncle: Margarito Maes; aunt: Martha Medina. A Vigil Service will be recited at 6 PM on Wednesday at St. Peters Catholic Church by Deacon Terry Marinelli & Helen Pino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 23rd, with Fr. Don Malin officiating. A Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 - 4 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
