Lary Phillips

Lary A. Phillips, 67, of Rocky Ford, Colorado passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Conway, Arkansas while visiting family. He was born on Sunday, April 15, 1945 in Holland, Arkansas to Ardell (Shock) Phillips and the late Edgar Phillips. He was raised in Maricopa, California. Mr. Phillips was a loving father and grandfather. He spent thirty-five years in law enforcement, serving in California and Colorado. He served four years in the U. S. Air Force and spent a year and a half in Greece. He worked for Otero County Road and Bridge for the last three years. He is survived by his wife, B J (Bellew) Phillips; son, Michael Phillips (Brooke) of Colorado Springs; daughter, Kathy McClaskey of Colorado Springs; step-daughter, Christie Harris of Celina, Texas; four grandchildren, Colin Phillips, Carter Phillips, Emersyn Phillips, and Kierra McClaskey; two step-grandchildren, John Stark and Lilli Lucero; mother, Ardell (Shock) Phillips; sister, Sandra Morris (Craig) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; numerous nieces; nephews; and other extended family. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. Local Services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Dell officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
