Lawrence Edward Powers, 56, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Wednesday, November 6th, suddenly at his residence. . Lawrence was born in Rocky Ford, CO on December 19, 1956, a son of Gloria M. (Montoya) Powers and the late Perry Edward Powers. He worked as a self-employed contractor and also was a cook at El Capitan in Rocky Ford, CO. Lawrence loved fishing and watching the Raiders. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by His mother Gloria of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Robert Powers, of Pueblo, CO; Daughter Laura Powers, of Pueblo, CO; Daughter Desiree (Duane Reece) Powers, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Georgia (Jay) Williams, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Lydia (Anthony Maes) Powers, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Jeanette (Floyd) Myers, of Fowler, CO; Brother Doug (Michelle) Powers, of Rocky Ford, CO. Special Niece Kristine Powers and Nephew Austin Evans and Carmelita Special cousin and friend Juaquin Montoya He is also survived by 13 grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father; sister: May Powers & Evelyn LaFauce; niece: Jeanette Bickford A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday Nov. 12th, 2013 at the St. Peters Catholic Church.
