Leona Zafereo

December 4, 1928 - April 28, 2014

Leona Mae Zafereo, 85, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Monday, April 28th, peacefully, at Pioneer Health Care Center.

Leona was born in Miltonvale, KS on December 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Lena (Hebert) and Christian  Gunter.

Leona graduated from Manhattan High School in Manhattan, KS.

She was the widow of Anton Zafereo.

She worked as a Hairdresser, Homemaker & School Teacher.

She is survived by; Niece Darlene Bachamp Niece Christine Taddeo Nephew Gary Taddeo Nephew Roger Savage

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters, Adelaide Marcotte, Lena Tadeo & Paulene Boston

Memorial Service will be at the at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, CO at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 15th, 2014. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery Colorado Springs, CO.
