Leonard Wilson Proctor

Leonard Wilson Proctor, 88, of Rocky Ford, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2015. Leonard was born September 19, 1926 and was a lifetime farmer and rancher in the Rocky Ford area and Arkansas Valley. He is survived by his wife Jean Lucille (Mast) Proctor. Leonard and Jean were married June 23, 1949. They had just observed their 66th anniversary. Together they raised a family of seven children. At the base of Leonard's life was his faith in Christ, the love of his family, and using the gifts and abilities God blessed him with to help others. He began farming at fifteen and worked up to the day he died. In everything, Leonard strived to do it to the best of his ability and endeavored to make better and do well with that which was placed before him. Immediate family members include daughters: Caroline (George) Di Domenico; Suzanne Proctor; Nancy Lee Proctor; Mary Ann (Vance) Zimmerman; Conni Jean (Todd) Smith and son Leonard Joseph (Amy) Proctor. Grandchildren are: Dominic (Katie) Di Domenico and son Lorenzo; Mario Di Domenico; Ann (Matt) Schilling and daughter Gabrielle; Gina (Daniel) Horton; David Proctor; Clint Wade Zimmerman; Amie (Seth) Wilsey and daughter Annebelle Lee; Elizabeth Ann (Mike) Zeek; Katherine Jean Smith; Jessica Lynn Smith; Rebecca Smith and Joshua Proctor. He is preceded in death by his son Leonard W. "Bill" Proctor !!; his parents George and Alice May McElroy Proctor; his son-in-law Vance Zimmerman; and numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the Valley Community Church, 27435 Cnty. Rd. 22.75, Rocky Ford, CO. There will be no public viewing.
