Leota Cox, born to Ralph and Rose Monroe November 20, 1926, went to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Her husband Bert J "Jimmie: Cox, parents and sister Lavonna preceded her in death. Her 2 sons: Larry (Darlene) and Gary (Cathie) will continue to remember her as a Godly and loving mother. Her 6 grandchildren, along with her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren will join them in remembering her Godly example. Leota touched many people's lives through her over 25 years of service with hospice and hospital waiting room volunteering as well as her more than 25 years of employment at JCPenney stores in Rocky Ford and La Junta, from which she retired. Her firm commitment and devotion to the Lord was demonstrated by her service and attendance at the Assembly of God Church in Rocky Ford for over 70 years. Her involvement touched each person and aspect of the Church.
