Mr. Leroy Apodaca, 60, of Rocky Ford died on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo, Pueblo County, CO. Leroy was born in Rocky Ford, CO on September 23, 1950, the son of Jose B. and Carmen (Ortega) Apodaca. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1968 and then attended Otero Junior College. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford and a devoted Catholic. He is survived by his parents; Sister Loraine wife of Paul Martinez of La Junta, CO; Sister Marian wife of Alex Palacio of La Junta, CO; Brother Moses husband of Debbie Apodaca of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Elena wife of Jaime Barbosa of Sacramento, CA; Brother Victor husband of Monica Apodaca of West Covina, CA; Brother Troy husband of Pauline Apodaca of Rocky Ford, CO. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by a sister: Isabel Gonzalez; his grandparents: Antonio & Pita Ortega; Theodore & Victoria Apodaca A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 27th, with Fr. Don Malin officiating. A Rosary Service will be recited at 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Peters Catholic Church. A visitation will be on Friday from 1-5 PM at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
