Mr. Leroy Roger Vigil, 61, of Rocky Ford passed away Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013 suddenly at his residence. Leroy was born in Rocky Ford, CO on February 9, 1952, the son of Modesto and Lydia C. (Lopez) Vigil. He served in the U.S. Army as a SP4. Leroy worked as a Carpenter and was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by His mother Lydia of Rocky Ford; Daughter Yvonne of La Junta, CO; Daughter Vanessa wife of Travis Tyler of Denver, CO; Sister Martha wife of Mario Saenz of Thornton, CO; Brother Eddie husband of Linda Vigil of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Henrietta Vigil of Ft. Morgan, CO; Sister Lucinda wife of Enrique Vasquez of Deerfield, KS; Sister Ruby wife of Esequiel Navarrete of Denver, CO; He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Leroy was preceded in death by his father; a sister: Maria Jacobson; 3 nieces: Tianna Vazquez, Miraya Vigil & Tracy Saenz A Rosary servicce will be recited at 10:30 AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM both at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO on April 9th, 2013 with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Visitation will be on Monday from 12 - 5 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
