Mrs. Leta May Albrecht-Uhl, 62, of Rocky Ford died Monday, October 26th, 2009 suddenly at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Leta was born in Burlington, CO on June 23, 1947, the daughter of Russel Lee and Lolita Ann (Burgard) Aulston of Yellowjacket, CO. She graduated from Montezuma High School and later received her Bachelor's Degree in Business and Education from Adam's State College. She was the wife of Tom Uhl. They were married on June 14, 2003 in LaJunta, CO. He survives of the home. She was married to Richard Bruce Albrecht. They were married on Dec. 28, 1975. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1994. She worked as a Teller at State Bank of Rocky Ford, CO. Leta had also worked at Discount Tire and taught elementary school at various places. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church Rocky Ford, CO 81067 and served in the Concordia Group of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling league, doing yardwork, and 4-wheeling. Her favorite joy were the treasured times she spent with her family. Leta was known for being dedicated and very organized at her work. She is survived by Her parents; her husband Tom of the home; Son Michael Fiance' Lacey Knapp Albrecht of Denver, CO; Step Daughter Christina Uhl of Denver, CO; Step Son Michael Uhl of Odessa, TX; Brother Duane husband of Lori Aulston of Julesburg, CO; Brother Gene husband of Linda Aulston of Julesburg, CO; Sister-in-law Barbara wife of Mack Williams of Karval, CO; Niece Stephanie Aulston of Kearney, NE; Niece Anna Aulston of Sterling, CO; Niece Stacy Heying of Billings, MT. Niece Denise Williams of Karval, CO; Niece Shelly wife of Kurt Lofdahl of Karval, CO; Nephew Dennis husband of Tammy Aulston of Sterling, CO; Nephew Darrell Aulston of Denver, CO; Nephew John Williams of Colorado Springs, CO; Great-Niece Jayden Aulston of Sterling, CO; She is also survived by numerous brothers and sister - in - laws and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 31st, with Pastor Rick Miller officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 - 8 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
