Mrs. Letha May Brubaker, 89, of Westminster on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at Covenant Village of Westminster, CO. Letha was born in Appelton, CO on August 12, 1920, the daughter of the late William Harve and Pearl Edith (Coffman) Heiny. She graduated from Appelton High School then received her teaching certificate from Western State College in Gunnison, CO. She was the widow of Earl J. Brubaker. They were married on April 14, 1944 in Denver. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a Homemaker. She did teach school for a couple of years during the war in Oakland, CA. She was a member of Rocky Ford Church of the Brethren She lived in Denver after the war. In 1947 she moved with Earl to Lamar, CO where he worked for his uncles at Lamar Concrete Products Company. They moved to Rocky Ford in 1954 to start Valley Concrete Company which became Valco, Inc. After Earl's death in 1991 she moved to Covenant Village in Westminster, CO until her death. She is survived by: Daughter Jane wife of Ed Wekesser of Morrison, CO; Son Tom husband of Paula Brubaker of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Larry Brubaker and Diane Millward of Longmont, CO; Grandchildren 8 Great-Grandchildren 14 She was preceded in death by a brother: Bill Heiny; 3 sisters: Ruth Lough, Grace Mitchel and Freda McCoy Funeral Services will be at the New Life Christian Center (formerly the Church of the Brethren), Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13th, with Pastor John Dell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM. at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Care Unit; Covenant Village; 9221 Wadsworth Pkwy., Westminster, CO 80021 or Rocky Ford Ministerial Alliance 400 S. 9th Rocky Ford, CO 81067.
