Lorraine LoVette, 90, of Rocky Ford, CO, formerly of Lewis, KS passed away Tuesday, May 27th, while in the company of family members, at her residence. Lorraine was born in Kinsley, KS on May 9, 1924, a daughter of the late Jessie (Mathes) and William Sherman Burcher. She graduated from high school in the Kansas City area. She was the widow of Wilbur Faye LoVette, they were married in Kansas on Sept. 1, 1944. Lorraine worked as a manager for a grocery store and a few restaurants. She had been a member of Lewis Methodist Church in Lewis, KS. She was active in the Lewis and Kinsley, KS communities. She is survived by; Daughter Linda Bushnell, of Wilson, KS; Son Arlyn, husband of Diane LoVette, of Rocky Ford, CO. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 brother and 2 sisters and a grandson. Graveside Services will be at the Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley, KS, at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4th. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Hillside Cemetery Kinsley, KS.
