Lyle G. Davis

April 22, 1923 - April 3, 2017

Lyle Glendell Davis, 93, of Ordway, CO, went to be home with his Lord on Monday, April 3rd, at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo. Lyle was born in Leon, IA on April 22, 1923, a son of the late Eulah Mae (Evans) and Joseph Henry Davis. He was a WW II vet serving as an Air Force weatherman. When he returned he ranched for Wineinger - Davis Ranch for 62 years north of Ordway in the Box Springs area along Horse Creek. While ranching he went to work for the Crowley County School District as a bus driver for 40 years. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of 67 years, sons Russell (Tricia), Warren, Dwight (Diana) and Steve (Joanna), 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles, sister-in-law Hazel, nieces Ann and Sharon, daughter-in-law Susan and granddaughter Tiffany. Services will be held 10 am Saturday, April 8th, at The River of Life Fellowship Church in Ordway with Pastor Don Parker from the Ordway Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Ordway. The family requests donations to Ordway Baptist Church - Missionaries 3rd & Lincoln Ordway, CO 81063.
