IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lyndell
Bickford
November 2, 1947 – February 9, 2020
Lyndell Faye Bickford, 72, of La Junta, CO, passed away Sunday, February 9th, suddenly at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center.
Lyndell was born in Cassville, MO on November 2, 1947, a son of the late Naomi Inez (Beck) Patrick and Ira Jeff Bickford.
He graduated from Rocky High School and attended college in Nebraska. He attended the Rocky Ford Church of the Nazarene in Rocky Ford, CO.
Lyn had a great love for his family and if you were his friend you were family. He was a compassionate man and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He was a loyal and trusted friend and never met a stranger. He had a soft spot for children and dogs.
People have described him in the following ways: " Lyn had more personality in his little finger that most people have in their whole body." "A generous soul" "He had a great sense of humor"
He enjoyed spending his mornings on the front porch with a cup of hot tea. He loved to tinker, work with his hands and be outdoors. He couldn't sit still for long; he wanted to have something to do all the time.
When he was with family, he would enjoy his favorite BlueBell ice cream, tell stories or corny jokes, tell his latest random facts or work on puzzles. And when the conversation grew quiet, he could take a good nap anywhere / anytime.
He will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.
