Mrs. Manuelita Conferina "Connie" Garcia, 80, of Rocky Ford died on Friday, July 12th, 2013 peacefully at Pioneer Health Care Center, Rocky Ford, CO. Connie was born in Canon Largo, NM on January 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Juan and Maria (Lucero) Martinez. She was the wife of Anthony Garcia, they were married in Rocky Ford, CO. She worked as a Housekeeper at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Rocky Ford for 21 years. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by her husband, Anthony "Tony" of Rocky Ford; Brother Phillip Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO; Brother Benny husband of Virginia Martinez of Manzanola, CO; Brother Leandro husband of Elvira Martinez of Albuquerque, NM; Sister Ollie wife of Benny Quintana of Denver, CO; Sister Nora Baca of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Viola wife of Manuel Blea of Denver, CO; Sister Ida Perez of Pueblo, CO; Sister Betty wife of Lupe Terrones of Ordway, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Chris, Joe & Claudio Martinez Graveside Services will be at the Valley View Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 25th. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Arrnagements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
