Mrs. Margarita O. Gonzales, 86, of Rocky Ford passed away on Sunday, March 24th, 2013 while in the company of family members at her residence. Margarita was born in Rocky Ford, CO on June 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Jose and Anita (Aragon) Olivas. She was the widow of Dosie James Gonzales, they were married on July 12, 1943 in Rocky Ford, CO. He preceded her in death in January of 1977. She worked at Frozen Foods Rocky Ford, CO for 15 years, retiring in 1987. She had also previously worked at the Turkey Plant in Cheraw, CO. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by: Son Joe (Virginia) Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Dennis (Mary) Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Richard (Virginia) Gonzales of Denver, CO; Son Jerry Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Gloria (Esteban) Navarro of Liberal, KS; Son Robert (Sherry) Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Josephine Cisneros of Rocky Ford, CO; Special Friend juan Silva of Rocky Ford, CO; She is also survived by: grandchildren: 32; great-grandchildren: 70; great-great-grandchildren: 23 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Daughter: Juanita Gonzales; Sons: James, Johnny & Raymond. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 1st, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-3 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
