Margie Emerine Crosson

Margie Emerine Crosson, 89, of Rocky Ford died on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 at St. Anthony Central Hospital, Denver, CO. Margie was born in Cheyenne Wells, CO on June 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Ora Franklin and Jenny Ware. She graduated from Cheyenne Wells High in 1937. She then graduated from CSU with a Bachelor's in Education in 1941. She was the widow of Herbert Crosson. They were married on September 26, 1946 in Raton, NM. He preceded her in death in 1994. She worked as an Elementary Teacher. She taught school at Vroman from 1954 until it's closure and then at Liberty Elementary in Rocky Ford until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of First Christian Church in Manzanola. She is survived by: Son Dave Crosson of Rocky Ford. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Michael; a grandson: Michael Memorial Service will be at the Manzanola First Christian Church, Manzanola, CO, at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 18th, with Pastor John Dell officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time. Family request donations to the Arkansas Valley Hospice 118 W. 4th La Junta, CO 81050.
