Marilyn Grace Miller, 79, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Thursday, October 16th, while in the company of family members, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta. Marilyn was born in Rocky Ford, CO on February 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Edna Grace (Moore) and Howard Kendall Trexler. Marilyn graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1953 and from Blair Business College. She was the wife of Stanley Ward Miller, they were married on September 3, 1954 in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a member of First Christian Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a cheerleader in high school she enjoyed oil painting, painting senior portraits for Brown's Studio, gardening, cooking, and she was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Stanley of the home; Daughter Melanie, wife of Joe Pettie, of Walsenburg, CO; Daughter Cindy, wife of Ron Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Mark, husband of Jamileh Miller, of Centennial, CO; She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Stephanie Maldonado, Adam Martinez, Kendal Martinez, Tristan Miller & Grace Miller; 8 great-grandchildren: Anthony, Malachi & Jazmine Maldonado, Aedan & Dylan Martinez, Adam, Arianna & Lauren Martinez. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandchildren: Donnie Pettie & Alan Martinez. Funeral Services will be at the First Christian Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21st, with Pastor John Dell officiating. Friends are invited to call Monday from 1-5 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
