Marjorie Elizabeth (Marge) Jung, 100, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Sunday, August 2nd, peacefully, at Lutheran Hospice, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Marjorie was born in Mountain View, OK on June 15, 1915, a daughter of the late Sarah (Carter) and John N. Bales. She graduated from Calumet High School in Calumet, OK. She attended Bethany Nazarene College and Central State Teachers College in Weatherford, OK She was the widow of Edward Theodore Jung, Sr., they were married in 1943 in Calumet, OK. She worked as a Teacher and a Substitute Mail Carrier. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 60 years, volunteered at the Rocky Ford Library, Community Thrift Shop, was the periodical librarian at Ft. Lyon Veteran's Hospital, she was honored in 2004 by the National Association of Retired Federal Employees for her community service. She was also a 30 year Colorado State University Extension Homemakers, AARP and Retired Teachers Association for 10 years. She also helped establish the Holbrook Neighbors Home Demonstration Club, was active in the Swink School PTA. She is survived by; Son Jerre Jung, of Littleton, CO; Son James, husband of Clara Jung, of Hawi, Hawaii; Son Samuel Jung, of Ocean View, Hawaii. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren: Nicky Jung, Pattie Jung, Linda Jung, Eric Jung, Christopher Jung, Michael Jung, Rhea Dittrich; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Leanne Grainger, Jessica Jung, Emily Cordova, Skye Ree Jung; 2 Great-Great-Granchildren; Tristan Stamper & Leo Grainger. Marge was preceded in death by her, parents; husband; son: Ted Jung; adopted son: Robert Jung; granddaughter: Roberta Bushinger. Funeral Services will be at the First Baptist Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 11th. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-5 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church 10th & Maple Rocky Ford, CO 81067.
