Mrs. Martha M. Wissler, 96, of Swink died on Friday, December 30th, 2011 at Pioneer Health Care Center, Rocky Ford, CO. Martha was born in Rocky Ford, CO on December 7, 1915, the daughter of the late George P. and Mary K. (Erlich) Maier. She attended school at the Newdale school in rural Rocky Ford. She was the widow of Merle B. Wissler. They were married in 1955. He preceded her in death. She retired as the Owner/Operator at Krystal Lanes Bowling Alley Rocky Ford, CO. She had previously worked as a bookkeeper at the JcPenney's in Rocky Ford. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a past member of the Rebekkah Lodge. She is survived by: Daughter Jo Teubner of Colorado Springs, CO; Son Gerald W. Grasmick of Swink, CO; Brother Ishmael Maier of La Junta, CO; Brother Jake husband of Dorothy Maier of Canon City, CO. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren & 7 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild She was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia; 4 brothers & 1 sister. Memorial Service will be private at a later time. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time in Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
