Mary E. Martinez of Pueblo passed away on February 1, 2023 at the age of 80. Mary was born in Ordway to Nieves and Josie Ybarra. She met Ben Martinez in Ordway in 1959 they got married and started their family in Ordway. In the early 60's they moved their family to Pueblo. While Ben went to school and then graduate school she kept the family going raising her 2 daughters. When Ben started traveling for work she was very supportive of him, and kept their home organized. Mary was a quiet person who loved her family very much. She was so happy for her daughters when they got married. She loved cats and watching her cooking shows. She loved to get together with her family for the holidays.

Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years Ben Martinez, 2 children: Sharon Cordova (James) of Pueblo and Diana Casias of Houston, TX, 1 granddaughter: Alexandria Casias, 1 great-grandson: Nicholas Coca, 3 siblings: Dan (Bernadette) Ybarra of Pueblo, Albert (Delia) Ybarra of La Junta, Jim (Leslie) Ybarra of Denver. She was preceded in death by her father, Nieves Ybarra, her mother Josie Ybarra, and her brother Henry Ybarra.
