Mrs. Mary Tillie Talmich, 79, of Rocky Ford, died Monday, November 24th, 2008 while in the company of family members at the St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. Mary was born in Rocky Ford, CO on June 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Manuel and Frutoza (Martinez) Roybal. She was the wife of Joe Able Talmich, Sr. They were married on August 12, 1944 in Rocky Ford. She was a Homemaker. She was a Foster Parent, member of the St. Peters Catholic Church, Founder of the Wrestlers Mothers Club, Boy Scouts Leader and a Coach/Player of Tillies Brats. She is survived by her husband, and children: Daughter Mary wife of Jim Morrow of Colorado Springs, Co.; Daughter Deen Talmich of Colorado Springs, Co; Daughter Bernice Donelson wife of Lupe Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Merlinda wife of Diego Martinez of Denver, Co.; Daughter Rose wife of Gilbert Gerardo of Colorado Springs, Co.; Daughter Vangie wife of Charlie Martinez of Denver, Co.; Daughter Diana wife of Phil Higgs of Pueblo; Daughter Viola wife of Ronnie Rodriquez of Rocky Ford, Co.; Daughter Melissa Talmich of Rocky Ford, Co.; Son Joe Jr. husband of Tammy Talmich of LaJunta, Co.; Son Robert husband of Bonnie Talmich of Rocky Ford, Co.; Son Tom husband of Cheryl Talmich of Colorado Springs, Co.; Son Mike husband of Diana Talmich of Rocky Ford, Co.; Son Rich Talmich of Denver, Co.; 3 brothers: Jack, Dennis and Benny Roybal all of California; 4 sisters; Ida Bernal of Aurora, Bessie Archuletta of Rocky Ford, Florence Medina of California and Martha Torrez of Olney Springs; 37 grandchildren: Rena Tafoya, April Walls, Kimberly Framnes, Dustin Carbajal, Missy Borton, Randy Donelson, Michael Martinez, Johnny Lopez, Richard Lopez, Misty Coleman, Kerri Martinez-Salas, Charlie Martinez, Dolores Martinez-Lopez, Jeremy Higgs, Jeffrey Higgs, Krystal Bailey, Kayla Higgs, Kristy Talmich, Desiree Talmich, Mariah Talmich, Manuel Rodriquez, Lisa Jaramillo, Angelyn Talmich, Ryan Talmich, Zachary Talmich, Hannah Talmich, Alicia Romero, Emily Talmich, Erik Talmich, Samantha Talmich, Elexias Talmich, Johnny Talmich, Vanessa Talmich, Brian Talmich, Matthew Talmich, Ashley Talmich, Bradley Kolhman; 62 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mary Martinez and Mary Alice Martinez. also preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Donelson A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 29th, with Fr. Mario Murillo officiating. Friends are invited to call on Friday from 1-5 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. A rosary service will be recited by Deacon Terry Marinelli on Friday at 6 PM in the St. Peters Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
