Michael Jaramillo of La Junta passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the age of 48 in Pueblo. Michael was born in Rocky Ford to Joe and Angie Jaramillo. Michael grew up in Rocky Ford. Michael was a great person and willing to help out anyone who needed it. He loved to spend time with his family. Growing up he would go fishing with his dad, he always looked forward to family BBQs. When his children were growing up he helped coach their various sports teams and was a proud grandfather to his grandson.

Michael went to work at the prison, while working there he got along with everyone, co-workers and inmates alike. He was a father figure to many people and enjoyed helping out children in need. Michael was an avid Broncos fan as well and always rooting on Penn State. While he was on dialysis he got to know everyone there, both patients and staff and was always cheerful and a smiling face to everyone. He will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his wife of 24 years Denise Jaramillo, 3 children: Raven Juniel of Colorado Springs: Destiny (Marcos Rivera) Jaramillo of La Junta, Dominick Jaramillo of La Junta, 1 grandson: Marcos Rivera, parents: Joe & Angie Jaramillo of Rocky Ford, 1 brother: Israel Jaramillo of Denver, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
