Mrs. Ophelia Geneveve Delgado, 90, of Colorado Springs passed away on Thursday, October 18th, 2012 peacefully at Springs Village Care Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Ophelia was born in Walsenburg, CO on July 11, 1922, the daughter of the late Manuel and Carmilita (Gallegos) Martinez. She was the wife of Salvador Delgado. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by her husband Salvador Delgado of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Angie wife of Dan Martinez of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Carol Reyes of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Florida Cruz of California City, CA; Daughter Nancy wife of Manuel Ujueta of Lawrenceville, GA; Son Frankie husband of Frances Cruz of Las Vegas, NV; Son Lawrence husband of Gina Cruz of Chino Hills, CA; Daughter Irene Escalante-Cruz of Ontario, CA; Son Rudy Cruz of Pueblo, CO; Son Gary Cruz of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Freda wife of Randy Salazar of Victorville, CA; Grandson Robert Sanchez of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter-in-law Patsy Cruz of Diamond Bar, CA; Daughter-in-law Patsy Cruz of La Puente, CA. She is also survived by 46 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren & 19 great-great grandchildren Ophelia was preceded in death by 2 sons: David & Johnny; daughter: Cathy Cruz; former husband: Modesto Frank Cruz; sons-in-law: Danny & John; grandchildren: Christopher, Charlie, Albert, Rene & Manuel Cruz, Lawrence Perez, Susie Rains & Lawrence Pimentel, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 22nd, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 9 until service time at St. Peters Catholic Church. A Rosary Service will be recited at 10:00 AM Monday at St. Peters Catholic Church.
