Obituary

Patricia Jean (Thomas) Roberts, 76, of Colorado Springs, CO, lived a wonderful and happy life in Colorado Springs, CO surrounded by her friends and family. On Tuesday, January 8 th she peacefully joined our Creator after a long and sad illness with Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia, a general term for memory loss and other cognitive abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's disease accounts for 60 to 80 percent of dementia cases.

Jean as she was fondly known, was born in Ipswich England on May 21, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie (Oatey) and Walther Thomas of England.

She humbly became a naturalized American citizen at the age of 43 in Denver, CO. Jean worked at the Peterson AFB Community Activities Center in the 80' and Jardin Tax preparation services for 20+ year. Both in Colorado Springs, CO.

Jean was a kind and caring soul. She lived her life to the fullest. She had a fondness for English tea, fine chocolates, hats and her dogs. She enjoyed reading (especially mysteries), playing pinochle (she was pretty darn good), sewing and collecting beautiful figurines.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Roberts of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Brennan of Divide, CO; ex-husband, dear and longtime friend, Daniel Jardin of Colorado Springs, CO; son Brooks "Ryan" Holley of Colorado Springs, CO and step-children; Shannon Roberts of Penrose, CO and Lisa (Roberts) Jimenez of Colorado Springs, CO; her nephew, Robert Brennan; her beautiful granddaughter Reagan and grandsons Cody, Chance, Stephan, Brent; and great-grandson Hunter. Jean was sadly preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Candice Holly Pierce on July 13, 2018.

Jean would have wanted memorial contributions in her name to be made to the Alzheimer's Association of CO, www.alz.org/co or by calling the 24/7 HELPLINE @ 800.272.3900 . The Alzheimer's Association offers a broad range of programs and services, including a 24-hour Helpline, at no cost to families; funds advancements in research to prevent, treat and eventually conquer this disease; and advocates on behalf of Coloradans on related legislative issues, and with health and long-term care providers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford - Ustick Funeral Home. Sentiments can be submitted on her guest book page at www.fordustick.com .
