Presillia "Percy" Torrez Ann Torrez

Presillia Ann (Percy) Torrez, 63, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away on Sunday, June 11th, at her residence. Presillia was born in La Junta, Colorado on September 18, 1953 to Jennie Terrazas and Pedro Del Villar. Presillia in her childhood years lived in California, Delta, and Trinidad, and finally settled in Rocky Ford the summer of 1964. Presillia attended Vroman School then Rocky Ford High School to graduate in 1971. Presillia married her high school sweetheart, Dan Torrez in January 1972, they were married for 37 years. Dan lost his battle with Colorectal Cancer in 2009. Throughout her lifetime; Presillia worked for Frozen Foods, Dunn Farms, Green Bay Foods, Rusler Implement, Valley Wide Health Services, Pioneer Health Care Center, and retired from Rocky Ford Food Market in 2013. In January 2013, Presillia met Richard Jones and enjoyed a second chance at love. Presillia and Richard enjoyed many trips to Cripple Creek and Laughlin, Nevada enjoying each other's company. Presillia often said that her relationship with Richard was "too good to be true" a "fairy tale". Richard stood by Presillia's side the remainder of her days. Presillia is survived by her Loving Partner, Richard Jones of Rocky Ford; children, Juanita (Eddie) Rubio of Odessa, TX. Daniel (Krystin Medrano) Torrez of La Junta, CO. Brother Joey, (Libby) Terrazas, of Richmond, VA; Brother Carlos, (Donna) Castaneda, of Castle Rock, CO; Brother Ron Terrazas, of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Louie, (Rose) Miera, of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Kenny Miera, of Trinidad, CO; Sister Charlene, (Leonard) Trujillo, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Kathy Alvarado, of Colorado Springs, CO; Grandchildren Tillie Gonzales of Rocky Ford; Zachary Gonzales and Nicco Rubio of Odessa, TX; Quianna, Dante, and Madison Torrez of La Junta, CO; Vanessa Rubio of Lubbock, TX; Emmily Vigil of Greeley, CO. Great Grandchildren Jacobe and Joseph Gonzales of Greeley, CO. Other special members of the family Melissa (Chris) Kaufman, daughter Lilly; Cynde (Gino) Montano, daughters Morgan and Becca; Tim (Lauren) Jones all of Rocky Ford, CO. Presillia was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: Felipe & David Miera; sister: Martina Rodriguez. Private family services will be at a later time.
